What is a Cognitive Age Equivalent (CAE)?

Cognitive Age Equivalent expresses your cognitive performance level as an age. For example, if your CAE is 55 but you’re 62, your cognitive skills are performing like someone younger. If your CAE is 70 and you’re 60, it indicates some skill areas may need training. CAE helps us identify which behavioral and cognitive systems will benefit most from training.

What is the difference between Level 1 and Level 2 assessments?

Level 1 is a quick 10-minute Brain Wellness Screening that measures your Brain Functional Age, Brain Stress Load, Circuit Strain Indicators, and other physiologic markers. It answers whether your brain is aging faster than expected and if stress is affecting you. Level 2 is a full assessment that includes all of Level 1 plus behavioral and cognitive skill testing, revealing your Cognitive Age Equivalent, specific skill bottlenecks, and your brain’s priority training targets. Level 2 is recommended if you want a complete picture and a detailed training plan.

What does “Brain Functional Age” mean?
