How does IQity® work?
The IQity® Brain Longevity Training Program is built on more than three decades of neurotechnology development. It is designed to help you think more clearly, stay focused longer, and manage stress more effectively.
Whether your goal is sharper performance, long-term brain longevity, or stress recovery — IQity® offers a clinically measured path forward.
Unlike generic brain apps, IQity® first evaluates your brain’s actual physiological state. It then identifies which networks need support — and delivers structured exercises that target exactly those circuits. Then it re-measures to confirm real improvement.
- Personalized: Every plan is based on your individual brain data — not a one-size-fits-all approach.
- Adaptive: Difficulty adjusts as your brain improves, not simply as you learn the skill.
- Clinically grounded: Driven by decades of neuroscience research and real-world clinical application.
- Outcome-measured: Progress is verified objectively through re-assessments — not just self-reported.
Progress doesn’t guess or rely on feelings alone — we measure it.
Why does the brain assessment matter?
Your brain is measurable. Unlike generic brain games that rely on performance scores, IQity® assessments measure your brain’s actual physiologic health — the foundation of lasting cognitive improvement.
By understanding your Brain Functional Age, Cognitive Age Equivalent, and Circuit Strain Indicators, we design a training program that targets your brain’s specific needs, not a one-size-fits-all approach.
No behavioral or test-based performance scoring is included — this allows scientific accuracy by isolating physiologic brain health from skill testing.
If assessment data reveals physiologic concerns beyond cognitive training, we’ll refer you to appropriate specialists — always keeping your brain health as the priority.
What makes IQity® different?
- Trained to your brain’s data: Generic brain apps use one-size-fits-all training. IQity® is built on your unique assessment results. We know your Brain Functional Age, your specific circuit weaknesses, and your stress load — and we train accordingly.
- Adaptive, not just progressive: Progressive difficulty means adding more tasks. Adaptive difficulty means the training watches your real-time performance and adjusts within each session to keep you in the optimal challenge zone.
- Strengthens real-world systems: IQity® trains the actual neural circuits responsible for attention, memory, executive function, and emotional regulation. This translates to real improvements in daily life — not just higher scores on a game.
- Proves results objectively: Objective measurement separates IQity® from feel-good programs. We don’t ask “Did you feel better?” We ask “Did your Brain Functional Age improve? Did your BSL decrease?” Data talks.

Key Metrics Explained
Brain Functional Age
Your brain’s physiologic age compared to your chronological age. A BFA younger than your age indicates healthy brain aging; older suggests accelerated aging that training can reverse.
Cognitive Age Equivalent
Your cognitive skill performance level expressed as an age equivalent. CAE helps identify where behavioral training will have the greatest impact on real-world function.
Brain Stress Load
How much cumulative stress your brain is experiencing physiologically. High BSL indicates your brain is working harder than optimal and may benefit from stress-reducing training.
Circuit Strain Indicators
Measurable signs that specific brain circuits are under strain. CSI targets reveal exactly which neural systems need strengthening through personalized training protocols.
Regulation Stability
Your brain’s ability to maintain stable function under varying demands. RS scores inform how adaptive your brain can be to stress and whether you’d benefit from executive function training.
Performance Efficiency
How effectively your brain executes cognitive tasks relative to the effort invested. Better efficiency means sustained performance with less mental fatigue throughout the day.
How the Program Works
Personalized, data-driven training sessions that strengthen your cognitive circuits and reverse functional aging — session by session.
We Measure Your Brain
Every great training program starts with accurate data. Your IQity® assessment reveals your Brain Functional Age, Cognitive Age Equivalent, Brain Stress Load, and Circuit Strain Indicators. These metrics become the foundation of your personalized program — identifying exactly which brain systems need strengthening.
We Review Your Results
Within one week, you’ll receive a detailed report explaining your Brain Functional Age, CAE, and all key metrics. We schedule a consultation to walk you through your results and what they mean.
We Build Your Personalized Program
Based on your assessment results, we identify your Top Strength Pillar — what your brain does well — and your Priority Training Target — where you’ll see the greatest return on investment. Your training plan is custom-built to leverage your strengths while systematically improving your priority areas. It sets your session frequency and duration, and which brain systems we’ll strengthen.
You Train — Precisely and Progressively
Training sessions are short (15–30 minutes), frequent (2–3x per week), and sharply focused on your priority brain circuits. Difficulty adapts in real-time based on your performance, ensuring your brain is always challenged at the optimal level — not too easy, not too overwhelming.
We Re-Measure and Refine
Progress isn’t assumed — it’s measured. Every 4–6 weeks, we reassess your brain using the same rigorous metrics. Your CAE, BSL, CSI, and other markers are compared to your baseline. If scores improve, we celebrate the data. If they plateau, we recalibrate the program. Progress is always verified. It is never assumed.

IQity® Brain Longevity Training: Questions and Answers
What is IQity® Brain Longevity Training?
IQity® is a personalized, clinician-guided brain training program that uses physiologic assessment data to design training protocols targeting your specific cognitive circuits. Unlike generic brain apps, IQity® measures your Brain Functional Age, Cognitive Age Equivalent, and circuit strain, then creates a custom training plan to strengthen the exact neural systems that need improvement. Training sessions are brief (15–30 minutes), frequent (2–3x weekly), and adaptive — difficulty adjusts in real-time based on your performance.
Is IQity® right for me?
IQity® is designed for adults concerned about cognitive aging, memory, focus, stress resilience, or overall brain health. It’s ideal if you want objective data about your brain’s physiologic state and a science-backed program to improve it. Whether you’re experiencing noticeable cognitive challenges or want to optimize your brain’s performance, IQity® can help. A free consultation with our clinicians can determine if the program is right for your specific situation.
How is IQity® different from brain game apps like Lumosity or BrainHQ?
Generic brain apps train general cognitive skills without understanding your unique brain. They use the same exercises for everyone and measure success by game scores, not physiologic improvement. IQity® starts with a clinical assessment of your brain’s actual physiology — your Brain Functional Age, stress load, and specific circuit strains. We then design training that targets those exact circuits. Progress is verified through objective re-measurement every 4–6 weeks, not assumed.
Does IQity® use EEG or special equipment?
IQity® assessment is quick and non-invasive. The Level 1 Wellness Screening takes about 10 minutes and measures your brain’s physiologic state through proven assessment protocols. The Level 2 report includes additional behavioral assessments. No EEG sensors, no special equipment needed — just a straightforward measurement of how your brain is functioning.
What is a Cognitive Age Equivalent (CAE)?
Cognitive Age Equivalent expresses your cognitive performance level as an age. For example, if your CAE is 55 but you’re 62, your cognitive skills are performing like someone younger. If your CAE is 70 and you’re 60, it indicates some skill areas may need training. CAE helps us identify which behavioral and cognitive systems will benefit most from training.
What is the difference between Level 1 and Level 2 assessments?
Level 1 is a quick 10-minute Brain Wellness Screening that measures your Brain Functional Age, Brain Stress Load, Circuit Strain Indicators, and other physiologic markers. It answers whether your brain is aging faster than expected and if stress is affecting you. Level 2 is a full assessment that includes all of Level 1 plus behavioral and cognitive skill testing, revealing your Cognitive Age Equivalent, specific skill bottlenecks, and your brain’s priority training targets. Level 2 is recommended if you want a complete picture and a detailed training plan.
What does “Brain Functional Age” mean?
Brain Functional Age is your brain’s physiologic age compared to your chronological age. It measures how well your brain is regulating stress, maintaining cognitive efficiency, and sustaining performance under demand. A BFA younger than your age indicates healthy, resilient brain aging. A BFA older than your age suggests your brain may be aging faster than optimal — but this is exactly what IQity® training is designed to reverse.
Is the assessment painful or invasive?
Not at all. IQity® assessments are completely non-invasive and take just 10–30 minutes depending on which level you choose. There are no needles, no EEG, no special equipment. You’ll sit comfortably while we measure your brain’s physiologic state through simple, proven protocols.
How soon will I see results?
You’ll receive your initial assessment results within one week. Most people begin to notice subjective improvements (better focus, reduced mental fatigue, clearer thinking) within 2–4 weeks of consistent training. Objective improvements in your metrics — lower Brain Stress Load, improved Circuit Strain scores, or increased Cognitive Age Equivalent — are typically visible by the 4–6 week re-assessment. Continued training strengthens these improvements over the following 8–12 weeks.
What does a training session feel like?
Training sessions are focused and engaging. You’ll sit at a computer and complete tasks designed specifically for the brain circuits we identified in your assessment. The difficulty adapts in real-time — if you’re performing well, it increases; if you’re struggling, it adjusts to keep you in the optimal challenge zone. Sessions last 15–30 minutes and feel like focused mental work, not a game. Many people report feeling mentally sharper after training, with improved clarity and energy.
How is progress tracked?
Progress is tracked through objective re-assessment every 4–6 weeks. We measure the same metrics as your baseline: Brain Functional Age, Brain Stress Load, Circuit Strain Indicators, Cognitive Age Equivalent, Performance Efficiency, and others. Your clinician reviews these numbers with you and adjusts your training plan based on what the data shows. Progress is always verified; it is never assumed.
How long is the program, and what happens after it ends?
Active training typically runs 8–16 weeks, with most people seeing significant results in the 8–10 week range. Once you reach your goals, you can transition to a maintenance program, take a break and reassess later, or continue training to strengthen other cognitive areas. Brain improvements are durable, but staying engaged helps maintain gains long-term.
Can I do home training instead of in-center sessions?
In-center training (2–3 sessions per week) is the foundation of the program, where we monitor your performance in real-time and adjust difficulty as you progress. Home training is available as an optional supplement between in-center sessions for reinforcement. We don’t recommend doing home-only training initially because the adaptive difficulty and professional guidance are key to the program’s effectiveness.
Do I need a referral to get started?
No referral is needed. You can contact HumanBlu directly to schedule a free consultation with one of our clinicians. They’ll discuss your brain health goals, answer your questions, and determine whether IQity® is right for you. No insurance required, no doctor’s note necessary.
What should I expect at my first appointment?
Your first appointment includes a brief consultation to discuss your cognitive goals and health history, then your assessment. Level 1 takes about 10 minutes; Level 2 takes 20–30 minutes. Within one week, we’ll send you a detailed report explaining your results. Then we schedule a follow-up to review your data and design your personalized training plan.
Does insurance cover IQity® Brain Longevity Training?
Coverage varies by insurance plan and your specific policy. IQity® is a wellness and brain optimization program, not a medical treatment. Some insurance plans may cover portions of the assessment or training, while others may not. We recommend contacting your insurance provider to ask whether cognitive training or brain wellness services are covered under your plan.
Can IQity® be used alongside other treatments or therapies?
Yes. IQity® complements many treatments and therapies. If you’re working with a therapist, neurologist, or other healthcare provider, we can coordinate with them to ensure IQity® training aligns with your overall health plan. If our assessment reveals any physiologic concerns, we may refer you to a specialist for additional evaluation.
