How is an infrared sauna different from a traditional sauna?
An infrared sauna warms your body directly with infrared light rather than heating the air around you, so it feels comfortable at a lower air temperature than a traditional sauna. Ours is a Sunlighten infrared sauna.
What do halotherapy and color light therapy add?
Halotherapy releases fine, dry salt into the air, which you breathe as you relax, to support your lungs and sinuses. Color light therapy fills the sauna with soft colored light to calm the nervous system.

Infrared Sauna: Questions and Answers
How long is an infrared sauna session?
Sessions are 40 minutes, enough time to warm up fully and relax while the salt and colored light do their work.
Can I combine the sauna with cryotherapy?
Yes. Pairing the sauna’s heat with cryotherapy’s cold, known as contrast therapy, is one of the recovery techniques we use.
What’s the difference between red light therapy and an infrared sauna?
Red light therapy (photobiomodulation) shines focused, low-level red and near-infrared light into your cells and tissues, where the mitochondria use it to make more energy (ATP). It works at the cellular level without heat, so it suits targeted recovery, skin health and neurological benefits, and people who can’t tolerate heat.
An infrared sauna warms your whole body with infrared heat, so you sweat and your circulation increases. Its benefits come from the heat and reach the whole body: detoxification through sweat, cardiovascular benefits, relaxation, and relief for sore muscles and stiff joints. It requires some tolerance for heat.
Many clients use both. Ask us which ones pair best for your goals.
How do I get the best results from the infrared sauna?
Hydrate, then relax and breathe deeply during your session. Afterward, shower and moisturize your skin. Consistency is key, so listen to your body, and ask us which other therapies pair well with it.
